Herzlich Willkommen an der Helmut-Schmidt-Universität (HSU/UniBw H).
Unsere Universität ist ein Ort der Wissenschaft. Sie fördert in Lehre und Forschung den Austausch und die Zusammenarbeit mit führenden Institutionen und Wissenschaftlern weltweit. Sie bereichert die akademische Ausbildung durch interkulturelle Perspektiven und stärkt durch ihre internationale Forschungsausrichtung die wissenschaftliche Qualität und Innovationsfähigkeit.
Jedes Jahr heißen wir zahlreiche internationale Gäste in Lehre und Forschung willkommen. Die Beiträge der Gastlehrenden und Gastforschenden aus dem Ausland sind eine wichtige Bereicherung des Lehrangebots und der Forschungsaktivitäten und tragen zur nachhaltigen Internationalisierung unserer Universität bei.
Wir haben zwei zentrale Einrichtungen, die die Internationalisierung fördern: das Welcome Office (WO) und das International Office (IO).
Das Welcome-Office unterstützt als Service-Einrichtung internationale Gast-Wissenschaftler bei der Planung und Durchführung ihres Aufenthaltes an der HSU/UniBw H und berät Gastgebende im Hause.
Kerngebiete des International Office sind die Unterstützung internationaler Gaststudierender beim Onboarding sowie HSU-Studierender bei Auslandsaufenthalten, die Beratung und Unterstützung von ProfessorInnen in Bezug auf Hochschulkooperationen und internationalen Projekte sowie die Unterstützung des Personals bei Auslandsaufenthalten.

As part of the University’s strategic efforts to strengthen and enhance its international ties, I am very glad that the Welcome Office has taken on the responsibility to take care of our international guests. Researchers, scientists and doctoral candidates from all over the world will find a welcoming atmosphere at our university, making their arrival and stay as unbureaucratic as possible.
For globally networked research and teaching as well as internationally oriented study opportunities, our faculties cooperate in many active partnerships and exchange ideas with universities and institutes all over the world. The supporting services of the International Office ensure the continuous expansion of these networks with a focus on the organization of incoming and outgoing student processes, staff mobility, and advisory and support services for concluding university cooperation agreements.
Together, the International Office and Welcome Office make a significant contribution to the internationalization of our university.
