On 6 December 2023, David Dreistadt successfully defended his dissertation entitled “Material development and system simulation for the integration of metal hydride-based hydrogen storage in gas-to-power systems”. After a brief presentation of his doctoral thesis, David Dreistadt went into the oral examination on the contents of his dissertation and beyond. He successfully passed both parts. David Dreistadt submitted his thesis as an external doctoral student at HSU. He carried out his work at the Helmholtz Centre Hereon. Currently, he is working on the further development of his system simulation and is already supervising other doctoral theses in this field at the Helmholtz Centre Hereon. Furthermore, he will continue to support the Chair of Applied Materials Engineering in teaching and other areas.
