On April 14th, Dr. Jan Schiller was elected European Coordinator of Research Network 5 “Learning Transitions” within the Lifelong Learning Hub of the Asia-Europe Meetings (ASEM). The network operates as an exchange and networking platform for researchers in adult and continuing education in Asia and Europe concerning transitions. With approximately 45 active members, it represents one of the largest research networks within the Lifelong Learning Hub.
The ASEM LLL Hub, which is considered one of the largest international research networks in this field, was officially transferred from Ireland to Thailand on November 18, 2025, during the 1st Senior Officials’ Meeting of ASEM in Bucharest, Romania. The Thai five-year project plan for the ASEM LLL Hub 2026–2030 is aligned with the ASEM Education Strategy 2030 as well as global goals for lifelong learning and sustainability.
