Gathering of Hall of Fame members to mark the 10th anniversary of the Adult Education Academy in Würzburg

On February 14, 2023, the Adult Education Academy hosted a conference titled “International and Comparative Studies in Adult Education and Lifelong Learning” at JMU Würzburg to mark its 10th anniversary. Numerous members of the Hall of Fame have served as instructors at the Academy in the past, including Arne Carlsen, Gina Ebner, Regina Egetenmeyer, Heribert Hinzen, Licínio Lima, Balázs Németh, Mike Osborne, Seamus O’Tauma, Katarina Popovic, Jost Reischmann, Sabine Schmidt-Lauff, Maria Slowey, Alan Tuckett, and Raul Valdes-Cotera.

Induction of Prof. Dr. Sabine Schmidt-Lauff into the Hall of Fame

In September 2022, Prof. Dr. Sabine Schmidt-Lauff was inducted into the International Adult and Continuing Education Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony took place in Cork, Ireland.

International Adult and Continuing Education Hall of Fame

The International Adult and Continuing Education Hall of Fame honors leading figures in the field of continuing education and adult education and serves as a source of inspiration for the next generation of continuing education professionals. These individuals reflect the great diversity of adult and continuing education practice and scholarship as a global and international community that defines the IACE Hall of Fame.
