The evaluation of this year’s Adult Education Academy at the University of Würzburg, with the participation of instructors from the Professorship for Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning led by Prof. Dr. Sabine Schmidt-Lauff as well as students from the adult and continuing education specialization in Educational Sciences, was once again overwhelmingly positive.

In February, nearly 160 master’s students, doctoral candidates, and practitioners in adult and continuing education from five continents worked intensively for two weeks at JMU Würzburg on a wide range of topics in internationally comparative adult education research. In addition to the high academic quality, participants stated that the program gave them strong motivation to further engage with international perspectives in their studies, research, or professional practice.

Participants also considered the exchange with teachers and learners from other countries especially important. For the majority, this was their first international mobility experience, which underlines the founding idea of the Adult Education Academy.
