The Center for Technology Based Education and Training (ZtB)

The Center for Technology Based Education and Training is a central research institute of the Helmut-Schmidt-University/University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg (HSU/UniBw H), which was founded in 2003 as a task force “distance training” and got promoted to institute status in 2009.

The ZtB is therefore an integral part of the HSU/UniBw H. It accepts assignments from the German Ministry of Defense as well as other public and private organisations and institutions in the field of education as well as military training and vocational training, with a specific regard towards the use of digital media.

The ZtB is organising the Bundeswehr Education and Training Convention at the Helmut-Schmidt-University/University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg along with the Bundeswehr Center for Education (Bildungszentrum der Bundeswehr) and the Department Training of the Armed Forces Office of the Bundeswehr. In 2023 the convention is schedule for September 12th to 14th at the Helmut-Schmidt-University/University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg.
