Characterization of high temperature superconductors using a multiphysical test rig

Ensuring the electro-mechanical operational stability of superconductors in electrical machines has not yet been thoroughly researched. This is the prerequisite for a broad application of this technology in the field of wind energy utilization.

Intention:

Investigation of the effect of mechanical forces on superconducting tapes in relation to the design of electrical machines.

Survey:

Investigation of the superconducting state space (temperature, current and magnetic field strength) combined with mechanical loading of the material.
