Dr. Sascha Hach is Postdoc Researcher at HSU/Uni BW. His research interests include European security, disarmament and arms control, nuclear order, France, and the United Nations. He is an Associate Researcher at the Leibniz Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF), where he previously served as Managing Director of the Arms Control Negotiation Academy (ACONA) and as a Research Project Coordinator. He received his Ph.D. from Goethe University Frankfurt in 2024 and taught at the University of the German Armed Forces in Munich from 2019 to 2026. Prior to his academic career, he worked several years for NGOs and in the German Bundestag. He is a co-founder of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) Germany, which was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2017.
