ML4CPS – Machine Learning For Cyber-Physical Systems

Conference in Hamburg 29th to 31st of March 2023

Please note that the Registration will open on Wednesday at 9:00.

How to get to the Location

The Address of the Location is: Am Sandtorkai 27 20457 Hamburg, 7th Floor

The conference location is located in the Speicherstadt. The closest subway stations are Baumwall (U3) and Meßberg (U1). There is also a bus line which passes the location (Line 2).

Evening Event on Wednesday!

Note: This is a seperate event, which will address topics of interest for the participants of ML4CPS. A seperate registration is necessary.

On Wednesday, March 29th at 6:00 PM, we will explore the latest advancements and real-life applications of autonomous technology in the homePORT Hamburg.

In collaboration with IKS Hamburg, ARIC, and homePORT, this meetup will provide a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities in this field.

This XR meetup is a side event of the ML4CPS conference.

Register now to secure your spot!

Join us and our domain experts as we explore possibilities, applications and challenges from semi- to autonomous systems. From inspections and material testing to personal transportation with drones and buses, we’ll discuss real-life applications and use cases of semi-autonomous and autonomous systems. How can telepresence support these autonomous systems?

Let’s dive into the future of autonomous systems together!

This is a key event for anyone interested in the future of autonomous systems.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to network with industry experts, academics and innovators.

About the Conference

Cyber-physical systems can adapt to changing requirements. In combination with machine learning, application fields such as predictive maintenance, self-optimization or fault diagnosis come into mind. One of the main prerequisites is that machine learning methods can be used by engineers. Therefore, the 6th Machine Learning 4 Cyber Physical Systems – ML4CPS – conference offers researchers and users from various fields an exchange platform.

Papers may cover, but are not limited to the following topics:

Integrating domain knowledge into neural networks: Using domain knowledge is a key factor for robust and performant neural networks in cyber-physical systems. Examples how prior knowledge can be integrated into the neural network are the network architecture, additional data from simulations or by adding constraints to the loss function.

Certification of ML models: Performance, robustness and sensitivity of a model must be evaluated according to certain generally defined criteria. How can such criteria look like and how can ML models be certified by adopting them?

Automatic protection of ML models: For cyber-physical systems it is important that ML models do not deliver unexpected results. Nevertheless, how do solutions look like that put ML models into a fall-back mode? How can it be proven that the ML model is safe to use?

Automated Machine Learning: For the use of ML models in practice, it is essential that they can be trained, validated, and put into operation quickly to fulfill some performance criteria. AutoML is an efficient tool for that.  How can AutoML be used to fulfill multicriterial objects, like interpretability or model size in combination with performance?

Conference Location

The conference will be held at Am Sandtorkai 27 20457 Hamburg

The conference will take place in Hamburg in Northern Germany. Hamburg is Germany’s second biggest city and is located between the Baltic and the North Sea. It is well connected through an international airport and several railway stations, which connect to all larger German cities as well as cities in the Netherlands, Denmark and Czech Republic. Hamburg is also home to Germany’s busiest harbor and lies beautifully on the river Elbe.

The conference venue is in the Speicherstadt, Hamburg’s historic warehouse district, where warehouses were built on timber-pile foundations in the water of the river Elbe, to enable loading and unloading of ships and boats. Today, this area has been revitalized and is used for restaurants, offices and company headquarters, while in the sorrounding area new hotels and housing areas are built. In 2016 the Elbphilharmonie was inaugurated.
