Diversity and inclusion in digitalized workplaces

Drawing on a case study of the internet collective “Premium”, Vanessa S. Bernauer and Dr. Angela Kornau investigate how so-called alternative forms of organization relate to questions of workplace diversity and inclusion. The organization under study can be characterized by a particularly participatory way of working with a special focus on equality of all collectivists. At the same time, communication and collaboration takes place primarily via digital media. The aim of this project is to critically analyze the feasibility of the normative goal of a fully inclusive organization, as well as to investigate how and which inclusion-exclusion dynamics play out and emerge in this particular context.
