The Chair of Political Economy and Empirical Economics conducts research in different fields of applied economics such as migration and labor markets. Currently, the chair’s main research focus is on the Economics of Climate Change. By the end of 2018 the chair started a major research project entitled „Implications of Climate Change and Climate-induced Disasters for Individuals, Firms and the Insurance Sector (CLIMATE_AFFECT)“.
