Curiculum Vitae

Steve Biedermann is a Research and Teaching Associate at the Chair of International Political Economy. His research focuses on international organizations and global governance. His special interest is in informal intergovernmental organizations and informal modes of governance. Previously, Steve worked in the project “Embracing Change: Overcoming Obstacles and Advancing Democracy in the European Neighbourhood” (EMBRACE) at the University of Würzburg’s Chair of International Relations as well as at the Chair of International Relations at the University of Jena.

Steve obtained his BA in Political Science and MA in International Organization and Globalization from the University of Jena, where he is also completing his PhD project “Unpacking Informality: Understanding Variations in the Design of Informal Intergovernmental Organizations (IIGOs).“
