The Chair of Electrical Measurement Engineering (eMT) conducts research and develops cutting-edge systems at the intersection of industrial wireless communication, high-precision sensor technology, and autonomous robotics. Our research activities are organized into four main areas of focus.

Globally standardized wireless technology (IEC 61139-3) for fast, highly reliable, and deterministic sensor-actuator communication in manufacturing cells with cycle times under 5 ms and a packet error rate below 10⁻⁹.

A wireless sensor network enables the scalable, real-time measurement of the shape, deformation, and local strain of large-area components.
