Profil

Simon Burbach ist seit 2025 als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der Professur für Data Engineering tätig. Seine bisherige Forschung stützte sich auf die Entwicklung von Virtual Reality (VR) Anwendungen und Machine Learning Projekte im medizinischen Kontext. So entwickelte er beispielsweise VR-Simulationen für die Auswertung von EKG-Signalen und der Therapie von Problemen, die mit Amputationen assoziiert werden. Seine Arbeit an der HSU führt Ihn nun in die Bereiche der AI-ready Data und der Forschung an digitalen Zwillingen im Rahmen des Projekts SmartShip.
