Marcel von Lehe, M.Sc.

Profile
Marcel von Lehe has been working as an external doctoral researcher at the Chair of Data Engineering since 2025. Previously, he completed both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering at HAW Hamburg, specializing in medical software. His research focuses on intelligent pipetting technologies, error detection in electronic pipettes, and data-driven methods for determining viscosity and related fluid properties. To achieve this, motor current signals are recorded during pipetting to build a dataset, which is then used to train models capable of detecting pipetting errors, among other things. As part of his PhD project in cooperation with HSU, HAW Hamburg and Eppendorf, he combines experimental lab research with data-driven analysis.
