The Bundeswehr Education and Training Convention<\/strong> has grown to the biggest convention of the German Federal Armed Forces and evolved out of the the former Distance Training Convetion of the Bundeswehr (Fernausbildungskongresses der Bundeswehr), which was founded in 2004 at the Helmut Schmidt University \/ University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg. It is hosted yearly since its founding, except in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bundeswehr Education and Training Convention 2024 is held from the 3rd of September to the 5th of September 2024 at the Helmut Schmidt University \/ University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The convention is organized as part of a Bundeswehr-wide process in the \u201cworking triangle\u201d, consisting of the Helmut Schmidt University\/Bundeswehr University Hamburg, the Federal Academy of Education and
Training in the Bundeswehr<\/a><\/strong> (BiZBw) and the Armed Forces Training Division<\/strong> of the Armed Forces Office<\/a><\/strong> (SKA Abt Ausb SK).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The convention is an innovation and information platform<\/strong> for academic discussion and the exchange of ideas between experts from academia, public service, business and the Bundeswehr.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The academic panel programme is a forum for discussion<\/strong> of theories and concepts for scientists, public servants, business leaders and the armed forces in an open dialogue about education and training <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Exhibition<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The convention is accompanied<\/strong> by an exhibition, which offers the opportunity to get hands-on experience of the theories and concepts discussed in the panel programme. Public institutions, the Bundeswehr and domestic as well as international businesses are participation to bridge the dialogue between theory and practical experience. They are presenting hands-on solutions in connection to the respective theme of the Bundeswehr Education and Training Convention<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The dtec.bw \u2013 Digitalization and Technology Research Center of the Bundeswehr<\/a> is a scientific center jointly supported by the Universities of the German Armed Forces in Hamburg and Munich as part of the economic recovery plan of the Federal Government of Germany to overcome the COVID-19 crisis. It is academically self-governed.
