In the degree program, the students work strongly application-oriented and system-oriented. They learn to think in an interdisciplinary way in larger system contexts and to design, specify, design, test and accept systems within a frequently larger international team. These include, for example, the development of new defense and security systems, taking into account specific requirements, such as operability, special material and system properties such as security against eavesdropping or disruptibility, but also extreme climatic conditions, interoperability or robustness. The focus of the work is the interaction of individual components and modules to a holistic system or subsystem for military use or to improve civil security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Program structure<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Like all other <abbr title=\"Helmut Schmidt Universit\u00e4t\">HSU<\/abbr> Bachelor programs, the DSYS Bachelor program covers seven terms and consists of compulsory modules, compulsory elective modules and the final thesis. All<br>Modules build on each other in time and are synchronized in time. Students who have not yet completed all the achievements of the bachelor\u2019s program after seven trimesters can be provisionally accepted into a master\u2019s program. Students who have earned a Bachelor of Science degree of 3.0 or better by the end of the eighth trimester of study can continue their Master\u2019s studies. This also applies to students who have achieved a grade of up to and including 3.4 and have passed an additional qualification interview. Students who do not meet these requirements will have until the end of the ninth trimester to successfully complete their undergraduate studies. They are denied access to the following Master\u2019s program at <abbr title=\"Helmut Schmidt Universit\u00e4t\">HSU<\/abbr>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The master\u2019s degree programs each comprise five terms (eighth to twelfth trimester of study) and conclude with the master\u2019s thesis. They include both compulsory and elective modules. Graduates of the DSYS Bachelor\u2019s Degree program have access to the Master\u2019s degree programs of the Faculties of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You will receive application documents from the career counseling office responsible for your place of residence.
