Einer der wichtigsten Aspekte dabei ist es, sicherzustellen, dass die Bauwerke auch bei extremen Naturgefahren wie Erdbeben ein ausreichendes Ma\u00df an Sicherheit bieten. Unser Team f\u00fchrt modernste Untersuchungen zur Zuverl\u00e4ssigkeit von Bauwerken durch, die Erdbebenbelastungen ausgesetzt sind, mit besonderem Schwerpunkt auf Stahlkonstruktionen. Derzeit konzentriert sich unsere Forschung auf die Entwicklung vereinfachter zuverl\u00e4ssigkeitsorientierter seismischer Auslegungsverfahren, die dazu beitragen, die Leistung von Geb\u00e4uden und die Sicherheit ihrer Bewohner zu verbessern.
