These preparatory measures are followed by a mentoring programme in the first year of study, in which students in the STEM subjects receive targeted support. The project aims to promote not only subject-specific skills, but also interdisciplinary skills such as the ability to organise oneself, motivation, <abbr title=\"et cetera\">etc.<\/abbr> To this end, first-year students are accompanied on the one hand by older students in their subject (subject-specific tutors) and on the other hand by students of educational science and psychology (methodological tutors).
