Malte Drouet<\/strong>
Malte studied from 2015 to 2021 law at the University of Osnabrueck. He specialized in German and European competition law and intellectual property law. After graduating he worked for six months as a research assistant in an international law firm in D\u00fcsseldorf in the field of antitrust & foreign investment. Afterwards, he returned to the University of Osnabrueck, at which he is a research assistant and a PhD student at the chair of Prof.<\/abbr> Andreas Fuchs LL.M. (Michigan) since the 1st January 2022. In spring 2024, he moved to Hamburg, where he works as a research assistant at our chair since the 1st April 2024. In his free time, he likes sport fencing and to participate at runs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tim-Erik Held<\/strong>
Tim-Erik studied law at Eberhard Karls University in T\u00fcbingen from 2016 to 2021, including a semester abroad in Liverpool. He specialized in competition law and intellectual property law. After completing his first state examination, he initially worked for several months as a research assistant at a commercial law firm in Berlin, specializing in antitrust law and foreign trade law. This was followed by legal clerkship at the Berlin Court of Appeal, including stages at the BMUV in the department for sustainable corporate management and two globally operating commercial law firms in Berlin and London in the areas of antitrust law, foreign trade law and M&A. During his studies, he also completed training as a reserve officer at the Army Officer School in Dresden. Tim-Erik researches the relation between antitrust law, competition and democracy. Most recently, he completed a research stay in Oxford partially funded by the HSU<\/abbr>. When he is not in Hamburg or at his home in Berlin, he is working out in the gym or hunting in the forest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tim Melhardt<\/strong>
Tim studied law at the University of Leipzig until successfully passing his first state examination in March 2022. His university focus was on banking and capital market law. During this time, he already gained experience as a student assistant at the Chair of Civil Law, Banking and Capital Markets Law. After graduating Tim moved to Hamburg where he initially worked for 1.5 years as a research assistant at the Chair of Civil Law and Commercial Law of his doctoral supervisor Prof.<\/abbr> Dr.<\/abbr> Wolfgang Wurmnest before he became an research assistant at our chair. As part of his doctoral project Tim is investigating questions of the application and enforcement of antitrust law in labour markets. In addition, he is interested in aspects of (collective) enforcement in the field of business law.
In his free time, Tim regularly rides his racing bike in Vierlanden. He can also often be found in one of Hamburg’s bouldering halls. Tim is also a volunteer in the youth work team of the Hamburg Aidshilfe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bent Simon<\/strong>
Bent studied law at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg from 2015 to 2021. After his semester abroad at the National Taiwan University in Taipei, he focused on international and European law and participated in the Philip C. Jessup Moot Court. From 2021 to 2023, he completed his legal clerkship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court, including stages at the German Federal Cartel Office and a law firm specializing in arbitration. His main area of interest is competition law in digital (media) markets. In his free time, Bent tries out various sports – and cooking recipes – or spends time with a good book.

Lana Henrike Tendahl<\/strong>
Lana studied law at the Universities of G\u00f6ttingen and Salamanca from\u00a02019 to 2025. She specialized in the historical and philosophical\u00a0foundations of law. After completing her first exam, she moved to\u00a0Hamburg, where she spent seven months as a research assistant at an\u00a0international law firm, gaining her first insights into the practice of\u00a0antitrust law. In her free time, she can be found on the tennis court,\u00a0the dance floor, or jogging through the Stadtpark.

Jasper Wode<\/strong>
Jasper studied law at the University of Hamburg until his first state examination in January 2021. During his studies, he focused on commercial and corporate law. Besides he worked as a student assistant at a junior professorship for civil law and legal didactics. Before becoming a colleague at our chair, he also worked for one and a half year as a research assistant in a law firm specialized in antitrust law. Jasper researches in the field of antitrust law especially on justifications of restraints of competition.
In his spare time, you will often find him behind his drums in the rehearsal room of his band or somewhere in the north of Hamburg in the saddle of his racing bike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
