Dr.<\/abbr> Martina Philippi has been a research associate at the Chair of Political Science, especially Political Theory, since May 2025, in cooperation with the AI Ethics Research Hub at Helmut-Schmidt-University \/ University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Previously, she worked in research and teaching at the Institute of Philosophy at the University of Leipzig until 2020. From July 2021 to July 2023, she was a research associate at the Institute of Philosophy I at Ruhr University Bochum, where she led the ethical subproject within the BMBF<\/abbr>-funded project\u00a0„UAV-Rescue: UAV-getragene Sensorik zur KI-basierten Unterst\u00fctzung von Rettungsmissionen“ (engl.: UAV-Rescue: UAV-based sensors for AI-assisted support of rescue missions<\/em>). From August 2023 to April 2025, she was a research associate at Paderborn University in the Collaborative Research Center SFB\/TRR 318\u00a0„Erkl\u00e4rbarkeit konstruieren“ (engl.: Constructing Explainability<\/em>),\u00a0and visited the\u00a0„Eindhoven Center for the Philosophy of AI“ (ECPAI)<\/em>\u00a0at TU<\/abbr> Eindhoven as a Visiting Fellow in June\/July 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Martina Philippi earned her doctorate in philosophy in 2020 with the dissertation titled „Selbstverst\u00e4ndlichkeit und Problematisierung: Husserls Programm der Ph\u00e4nomenologie“\u00a0(engl.: Self-Evidence and Problematization: Husserl\u2019s Program of Phenomenology<\/em>„),\u00a0which was awarded\u00a0summa cum laude<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
