Long, Oberst a.D. (US-Luftwaffe), promovierte in Politikwissenschaft an der Helmut-Schmidt-Universit\u00e4t. Ihre Dissertation mit dem Titel&nbsp;<em>Von Clausewitz, <abbr title=\"Doktor\">Dr.<\/abbr> Strangelove und Heisenberg \u2013 Strategische Emergenz f\u00fcr Konflikte in der Grauzone im Quantenzeitalter schaffen<\/em>&nbsp;besch\u00e4ftigt sich mit der strukturellen und kognitiven Kluft zwischen der Vision nationaler und internationaler Sicherheitsstrategien und der strategischen Planung auf Ebene von Beh\u00f6rden und Ministerien. Ihre Forschungsinteressen umfassen strategisches Design, strategische F\u00fchrung sowie hybride Kriegsf\u00fchrung mit einem Schwerpunkt auf kognitiver Kriegsf\u00fchrung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sie besitzt einen Masterabschluss in Strategischen Studien und Management sowie einen Bachelorabschluss in Betriebswirtschaftslehre. Als erfahrene milit\u00e4rische und zivile Pilotin wurde sie mit der Legion of Merit, zwei Bronze Stars und zahlreichen weiteren Auszeichnungen geehrt.
