Dr.<\/abbr> Deniz Kocak ist Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der Helmut-Schmidt-Universit\u00e4t \/ Universit\u00e4t der Bundeswehr (HSU<\/abbr>\/UniBwH<\/abbr>), Forschungskoordinator des interdisziplin\u00e4ren Forschungsschwerpunkts Maritime Sicherheit (iFMS) sowie Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am German Institute for Defence and Strategic Studies (GIDS) in Hamburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zuvor arbeitete er u.a.<\/abbr> am Bundesinstitut f\u00fcr Risikobewertung (BfR), als Lehrbeauftragter an der Freien Universit\u00e4t Berlin, als Gastwissenschaftler an der Singapore Management University (SMU) sowie am DFG-Sonderforschungsbereich 700 \u201eGovernance in R\u00e4umen begrenzter Staatlichkeit“.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Er ist Mitglied des UNDP-RSCA Governance and Peacebuilding Experts Roster, des UN SSR Advisory Network sowie des Steering Committees der ECPR Standing Group Political Violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Er studierte an der Universit\u00e4t Potsdam und der Humboldt-Universit\u00e4t Berlin Politikwissenschaft und Neuere\/Neueste Geschichte und promovierte an der Freien Universit\u00e4t Berlin in Politikwissenschaft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
