On the one hand, the \u2018turn\u2019 towards evidence-based policy has resulted in a growing datafication of education, such as the rise of large-scale and longitudinal (digital) data production, intensified monitoring or technology-related consul\u00adtancy practices. On the other hand, the on\u00adgoing promotion of \u2018digital education\u2019 and the use of smart technology claim to deeply trans\u00adform classroom practice, particularly by providing \u2018perso\u00adnalized\u2019 ways of teaching and learning. Together, both trends con\u00addition the framework for complex entwinements between those who govern education and those who are governed.<\/p>\n<p>This workshop brings together emerging and field-leading scholars from various cultural contexts to discuss ensuing questions related to the growing datafication, digitalization and auto\u00admatization of educational governance and practice. Topics include:<\/p>\n<p>The emergence and analysis of new data infrastructures in the governing of education<br \/>\nNew forms of (adaptive) testing and performance measurement<br \/>\nThe rise of the Global EdTech Industry as well as new intermediary actors<br \/>\nand their impact on education policy and practice<br \/>\nEffects of datafication, digitalization and automatization on classroom settings<br \/>\nImpacts on the teaching profession<br \/>\nLinking transformations in the education sector to research on the digital society, the transformation of citizenship and democracy<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WORKSHOP 6.-7.
