DESCRIPTION:WORKSHOP \nOrganisation: PD Dr. Sigrid Hartong und M.A. Annina Förschler \nOver the past decade\, considerable efforts have been made to examine the burgeoning of new information and communication technologies (ICT) in the field of education. On the one hand\, the ‘turn’ towards evidence-based policy has resulted in a growing datafication of education\, such as the rise of large-scale and longitudinal (digital) data production\, intensified monitoring or technology-related consul­tancy practices. On the other hand\, the on­going promotion of ‘digital education’ and the use of smart technology claim to deeply trans­form classroom practice\, particularly by providing ‘perso­nalized’ ways of teaching and learning. Together\, both trends con­dition the framework for complex entwinements between those who govern education and those who are governed. \nThis workshop brings together emerging and field-leading scholars from various cultural contexts to discuss ensuing questions related to the growing datafication\, digitalization and auto­matization of educational governance and practice. April 2019 | Helmut-Schmidt-Universität Hamburg \nOrganisiert von: Cristina Besio (Helmut-Schmidt-Universität Hamburg) und André Armbruster (Universität Duisburg-Essen) \nDas Verhältnis von Organisation und Moral ist komplex und nicht eindeutig: Einerseits gibt es Unternehmen\, die Menschen- und Umweltrechte zugunsten ihrer Gewinninteres-sen skrupellos missachten\, Behörden\, die für den eigenen Vorteil anstatt für das Gemein-wohl agieren\, oder auch Terrororganisationen\, die ganze Bevölkerungsgruppen bekämp-fen wollen. Entsprechend deuten soziologische Überlegungen auf eine generelle Inkom-patibilität von Moral und Organisation hin. Andererseits bekämpfen NGOs jedoch Armut in den Ländern des globalen Südens und Gewerkschaften streiten für die Rechte von Arbeitnehmerinnen. Moral ist aber auch ein zentraler Zweck von Organisationen der So-zialen Arbeit oder im Umweltschutz. Und es gibt empirische Anzeichen dafür\, dass durch die Popularisierung von Corporate Social Responsibility sogar Unternehmen vermehrt nach moralischen Kriterien entscheiden. Eine Verankerung von Moral in organisationalen Strukturen und Entscheidungen scheint somit durchaus möglich zu sein. \nDie Frühjahrstagung 2019 der Sektion Organisationssoziologie der Deutschen Gesell-schaft für Soziologie (DGS) nimmt dieses Spannungsfeld zum Anlass\, den konstitutiven Zusammenhang von Organisation und Moral zu untersuchen. Konzeptionell-theoretische Arbeiten sowie empirische Fallstudien adressieren die konkrete Ausgestaltung der orga-nisierten Moral. Es geht dabei nicht um ein Mehr oder Weniger an Moral in Organisatio-nen. Im Zentrum steht die Diskussion (organisations-)soziologischer Erklärungen des nor-mativ Guten und Bösen in und von Organisationen.
