Katharina-Sophie Isleif researches and teaches in the field of metrology and sensor technology. Her research focuses on high-precision displacement or acceleration measurements using laser interferometry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She studied physics at Leibniz Universit\u00e4t Hannover<\/a>. At the Institute for Gravitational Physics and the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute)<\/a> she wrote her dissertation on laser interferometry for the space-based gravitational wave detector LISA<\/a> and satellite-based Earth gravity field measurements. Meanwhile, she presented her research at several international conferences and held research fellowships at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center<\/a> in Maryland, USA and the National Institute of Standards and Technology<\/a> in Maryland, USA.
