From Space-Based to Earth-Based: Digitally-enhanced interferometry was originally explored for the space-based gravitational wave detector LISA. We intend to use this technique on Earth for surveying the Earth with a fiber-based optical sensor network. Intelligent algorithms will be used to reconstruct 3-dimensional seismic waves from the data. For the Einstein Telescope, a 3rd generation gravitational wave detector, this measurement principle is essential to reduce the limiting noise source “Newtonian Noise”.
