The focus here is on methods based on the propagation of elastic waves. This primarily includes ultrasonic and impact-echo testing. Experimentally obtained data will be enriched with validated simulation data to ensure a sufficiently large database. Reliability assessments are to be carried out using a probability of detection (PoD) analysis.
