Rosen (M.A.)<br>\ud83d\udccc <strong>Primary Supervisor:<\/strong> <abbr title=\"Professor\">Prof.<\/abbr> <abbr title=\"Doktor\">Dr.<\/abbr> Mechtild Gomolla<br>\ud83d\udccc <strong>Funding:<\/strong> Doctoral Scholarship of the Hans B\u00f6ckler Foundation<br>\ud83d\udccc <strong>Duration:<\/strong> 01.04.2020 \u2013 31.03.2023<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Project Overview<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This dissertation project examines the <strong>institutional changes in higher education<\/strong> driven by global education reforms in the context of <strong>policy-driven &#8222;Global Governance.&#8220;<\/strong> The research analyzes how these reforms affect <strong>national university regulations<\/strong> and their impact on <strong>political, legal, and cultural inclusion discourses<\/strong> within different education systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using <strong>empirical case studies<\/strong>, the project investigates both <strong>connections and tensions<\/strong> between migration- and mobility-focused political strategies and university profiles designed to promote <strong>diversity<\/strong>. Additionally, it explores the <strong>collective experiences and learning orientations<\/strong> of university members engaged in diversity promotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This study applies <strong>discrimination-sensitive and intersectionally informed approaches<\/strong> from organizational research to <strong>transnational and (post-)national contexts<\/strong>. Eurocentric and nationalist <strong>constructions of difference<\/strong> are reflexively integrated into a heuristic model, making the <strong>interpretive struggles and tensions surrounding &#8222;diversity (promotion)&#8220;<\/strong> more visible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another key objective of the project is to bridge <strong>discourse-comparative and institutional multi-level analyses<\/strong> within the European education space.
