She studied Political Science and International Relations at Sciences Po Lyon, Leipzig University, and the Sorbonne University. Her research focuses on collective emotions, political violence and extremism, international order(s), recognition and (international) political theory. In her thesis, she analyzes the role played by collective emotions in the turn to violence of major Islamist groups across Western Europe over the 2000s. She has published in peer-reviewed journals such as Global Discourse and Political Psychology. Recently, Ma\u00e9va co-edited the volume Researching Emotions in International Relations.
