Additionally, Barbara Sieben served as co-referent and chaired a paper session on &#8222;Inclusion, Identification, Migration&#8220;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 2025, 11th Midterm Conference of the European Sociological Association\u2019s Sociology of Emotions Research Network (RN11), Belfast, Ireland<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The presentation titled \u201c&#8217;Emotions are a big issue here&#8216; \u2013 Affects and Agency of Health Care Workers&#8220; has been accepted for oral delivery by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsu-hh.de\/hrm-pol\/en\/team-e\/katja-buerger\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1294\">Katja B\u00fcrger<\/a> at the Emotion Research Network&#8217;s midterm conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2024<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>September 2024, Symposium and Scientific Network Meeting of Diversity Researchers from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, G\u00f6ttingen<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At this year\u2019s symposium of diversity researchers from German-speaking countries, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsu-hh.de\/hrm-pol\/en\/dr-angela-kornau\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1302\">Angela Kornau<\/a> presented the paper \u201cDiversity Coaching!? A conceptual clarification based on a systematic literature review.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsu-hh.de\/hrm-pol\/en\/team-e\/wiebke-friess\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"4564\">Wiebke Frie\u00df<\/a> presented an excerpt from her dissertation under the title \u201c\u2018Everything is so beautifully colorful here\u2019 \u2013 On the topology of diversity on campus.\u201d <strong>Anna-Katharina Rentsch<\/strong> discussed a poster presentation on the findings from her bachelor\u2019s thesis titled \u201cBalancing Family and Career in the German Armed Forces. Between Legacy and Imagination\u201d (6th \u2013 8th July) in Cagliari a contribution by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsu-hh.de\/hrm-pol\/en\/dr-angela-kornau\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1302\">Angela Kornau<\/a> and Irma Rybnikova entitled \u201eGendered agility? An explorative study of (in)equalities in Scrum teams\u201c was accepted and presented by Irma Rybnikova. An intersectional perspective on first class flight attendants\u201d as a part of the Presenter Symposium \u201cExploring the relationship between intersectionality &nbsp;and inclusion: A research agenda\u201d by Alain Klarsfeld and Diana Rajendran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">July 2019, European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS) Colloquium, Edinburgh<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>At the 35th European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS) Colloquium about \u201cEnlightening the Future: The Challenge for Organizations\u201d from July 4\u20136 in Edinburgh, Angela Kornau presented a cooperative paper with Lena Klappert and Duygu Acar Erdur entitled: \u201cThe Advertised, the Deceived, the Silenced, and the Avoided: Organizational discourses on equality, diversity and inclusion in the Turkish context.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">July 2019, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion International Conference, Rotterdam<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the Equality, Diversity, Inclusion International Conference on \u201cResistance\u201d from July 22\u201324 in Rotterdam, Angela Kornau, together with Joana Vassilopoulou and Lena Knappert, organized a stream on: \u201cPolitics of migrants\u2019 equality and diversity and resistance towards their workplace inclusion\u201d. &nbsp;She also presented a joint contribution with Lena Knappert and Acar Erdur entitled: \u201cThe Advertised, the Deceived, the Silenced, and the Avoided: Organizational discourses on equality, diversity and inclusion in the Turkish context.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">March 2019, Women in Organizations (MENA) ThinkTank, Sharjah<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The American university of Sharjah (AUS) organized a ThinkTank on \u201cWomen in Organizations: Towards Theory and Research Development in the MENA region\u201d, from March 18\u201319 in 2019, and invited Angela Kornau. The ThinkTank is made up of a group of international scientists who are looking for research cooperation on the situation of Women in the MENA (Middle East North Africa) region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2018<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">August 2018, AOM Annual Meeting, Chicago<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>At the world\u2019s most important conference for management research, the annual conference of the Academy of Management, from August 10\u201314 in Chicago, the professorship performed a \u2018Professional Developed Workshop\u2019 on \u201cEquality, Diversity and Inclusion in Under-Researched Countries: A Research Agenda\u201d. Chairs of the PDW are&nbsp;<abbr title=\"Professor\">Prof.<\/abbr>&nbsp;<abbr title=\"Doktor\">Dr.<\/abbr>&nbsp;Barbara Sieben,&nbsp;<abbr title=\"Helmut Schmidt Universit\u00e4t\">HSU<\/abbr>, and&nbsp;<abbr title=\"Professor\">Prof.<\/abbr>&nbsp;Alain Klarsfeld, Toulouse Business School. Co-organizers are Rana Haq, Lena Knappert, Angela Kornau, Eddy Ng and Faith Ngunjiri. This PDW serves as a starting point to develop the 4th \u2018International Handbook of Diversity Management at Work\u2019 book project (Edward Elgar) on \u2018Diversity and Equality in Under-Researched Countries\u2019 that is planned to be published in 2019\u20132020. In particular, this PDW seeks to broaden the regional scope of chapters to be submitted to the 4th International Handbook and provides a discussion space for diversity research in under-exposed countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">July 2018, EGOS Colloquium, Tallinn<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>At the 34th annual conference of the European Group of Organization Studies (EGOS) from July 2\u20137 in Tallinn, Barbara Sieben and Daniela Rastetter, University of Hamburg, presented a paper on \u201cMapping management research on gender and diversity as a political arena: Interests, resources and power plays in german speaking countries\u201d.
