This created a platform for interdisciplinary exchange of insights and information and opened a broad fore to discuss gender and diversity issues. The focus was on the following core topics:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The relation of gender and diversity: Does gender play a priority role among all diversity dimensions?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The debate on equal treatment and equal opportunities: How can diversity research findings be integrated in gender and further equality practice, e.g. in business companies and on a socio-political level?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The search for theoretical frameworks: How can workplace diversity and diversity management best be addressed, with approaches and concepts such as intersectionality, discrimination, social inequality, habitus or else?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The multifarious conference program included \u2018classical\u2019 presentations with discussion in the plenary, short presentations in smaller groups, round table discussions for paper development and an accompanying poster exhibition.
