The elimination of the converters, which ensure a constant voltage supply to the consumers in conventional fuel cell systems,&nbsp;must be compensated&nbsp;using other means.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In&nbsp;BETA, the HSU will develop an MCU system that is precisely tailored to the specific conditions in the application of the H2-to-torque architecture. This includes, among other things, power-dependent voltage regulation, redundancy, reliability, and safety mechanisms for the safe operation of such a system. Accordingly, HSU will develop concepts, build prototypes, test them and&nbsp;utilize them in a&nbsp;system&nbsp;network. In parallel, the behavior&nbsp;will be&nbsp;simulated to virtually test different MCU and MCU system architectures and to determine a suitable layout.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following definition of&nbsp;a&nbsp;MCU system will be&nbsp;used in the project: The MCU system is used for the electrical connection of system-integrated fuel cells to an electric drive.
