• The obligation to serve as a temporary soldier for 13 years in the career of the officer of the troop service.

Description

In the master’s program Mechatronics, the compulsory subjects are initially required. These are further lectures in mathematics, numerics, mechanics, fluid mechanics, machine dynamics, computer science and control engineering. With their orientation, these compulsory subjects reflect the idea of ​​mechatronics without being specially tailored to them. In addition, there is the specific compulsory subject “Mechatronic Systems”. The students take several elective courses with different duration. They choose a specialization and choose between the main areas of applied mechanics, automation technology or military technology.

Applied mechanics and automation technology as the cornerstones of mechatronics are the main focus of the study. The focus on military technology is to be understood as applied mechatronics. Modern, highly dynamic weapon systems, intelligent ammunition and autonomous, unmanned reconnaissance aircraft are unthinkable without mechatronics. This study focuses on the current career choices of the majority of students and a common interest.
