This agreement forms the basis for industrializing the results obtained in the research projects. <a href=\"https:\/\/argus-interception.com\" rel='nofollow'>https:\/\/argus-interception.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:9px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">UAS defence systems<\/h1>\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Under the leadership of Helmut Schmidt University, the first fully comprehensive drone defense system is being set up at Hamburg Airport in collaboration with all project partners.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-549 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hsu-hh.de\/emt\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/686\/2019\/12\/Berlin10.12-1024x777.jpeg\" alt=\"Start des Projektes FALKE\" width=\"1024\" height=\"777\" data-credit=\"Dr.-Ing.-Ralf Heynicke \" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hsu-hh.de\/emt\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/686\/2019\/12\/Berlin10.12-1024x777.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.hsu-hh.de\/emt\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/686\/2019\/12\/Berlin10.12-300x228.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.hsu-hh.de\/emt\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/686\/2019\/12\/Berlin10.12-768x582.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Federal Minister of Transport Andreas Scheuer handed over the funding decision for the \u201cFALKE\u201d project to the participating consortium partners on December 10, 2019. <abbr title=\"Helmut Schmidt Universit\u00e4t\">HSU<\/abbr> will receive around 800,000 euros of this funding to finance three research assistants over a period of three years.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Air traffic is an important link in an internationally networked society. Disruptions, particularly at hubs of closely timed and networked air traffic, have a significant global impact.<\/p>\n<p>Unmanned aerial systems (UAS) in control zones are increasingly jeopardizing the operation of commercial airports. Last year, 125 obstructions were registered at German airports. The risk to people and aircraft as well as the economic damage are considerable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>There is currently no known comprehensive and integrated overall solution for intercepting unwanted UAS at airports.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An overall technical and organizational concept will be developed and demonstrated at Hamburg Airport as an example, from the detection of an unwanted UAS to the automated deployment of an interceptor UAS for its safe removal, taking into account all areas of competence and responsibility and with clearly defined processes and interfaces.<\/p>\n<p>One of the special features of the project is that, for the first time, all stakeholders involved in the process are working together to jointly define a technology platform. This will then be used as a \u201cblueprint\u201d for other airports.<\/p>\n<p>Together with the companies Hensoldt and EuroAvionics, the team from the Chair of Electrical Measurement Technology will develop the technology for the automated capture, the so-called \u201cdog fight\u201d, and the automated removal of a UAS operating illegally at the airport.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The project partners are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bundespolizei<\/li>\n<li>DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung <abbr title=\"Gesellschaft mit beschr\u00e4nkter Haftung\">GmbH<\/abbr><\/li>\n<li>Deutsche Lufthansa AG<\/li>\n<li>Flughafen Hamburg <abbr title=\"Gesellschaft mit beschr\u00e4nkter Haftung\">GmbH<\/abbr><\/li>\n<li>Hensoldt Sensors <abbr title=\"Gesellschaft mit beschr\u00e4nkter Haftung\">GmbH<\/abbr><\/li>\n<li>Helmut-Schmidt-Universit\u00e4t (Consortium leader)<\/li>\n<li>EuroAvionics <abbr title=\"Gesellschaft mit beschr\u00e4nkter Haftung\">GmbH<\/abbr><\/li>\n<li>Frequentis Comsoft <abbr title=\"Gesellschaft mit beschr\u00e4nkter Haftung\">GmbH<\/abbr><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>The associated partners are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ministry of Economics, Transport and Innovation of the Hanseatic City of Hamburg<\/li>\n<li>National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism; Ministry of Justice and Security; Netherlands;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>&#8222;FALKE II&#8220;<\/h2>\n<p>We have decisively developed our FALKE counter-sUAS-UAS into FALKE II and have already successfully demonstrated it to the former Minister of Defense, Ms. Lambrecht, and the Inspector General of the German Armed Forces, General Breuer.<\/p>\n<p>This time, at the end of June 2023, we accepted the invitation from the Austrian Armed Forces to take part in the RedFlag2 exercise.
