It was also a possibility to get an insight into the laboratories and workshops of Emqopter <abbr title=\"Gesellschaft mit beschr\u00e4nkter Haftung\">GmbH<\/abbr>. Furthermore, a field test has been conducted successfully. Digitalised, legally safe and low-emission airborne inspection and grid data acquisition using automated drones) is the development and testing of an intelligent airborne system with capabilities to automatically inspect  above ground wires by virtue of a sensor device that can be released and deployed onto the wire so as to measure electrical parameters in the medium and high voltage domains. Our partner, the Emqopter <abbr title=\"Gesellschaft mit beschr\u00e4nkter Haftung\">GmbH<\/abbr>, has produced a video showcasing the envisaged mode of operation. Both groups conduct research at Helmut Schmidt University \/ University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg. The group for Electrical Power Systems is in charge of designing, developing, and constructing the sensors and is contributing to the work packages of the main work package MWP 3, depicted in Figure 1.
