Thereby, the fuselage acts as a return conductor, which is necessary for asymmetric and single-phase loads. The fuselage of future aircraft will be made of composite materials, which cannot be used as a return conductor. Such a construction requires an additional return conductor grid. In order to avoid unnecessary over-dimensioning a procedure must be developed that distributes the loads equally over the three phases.
