Two types of generators, which are very often used in wind turbines, are the doubly fed asynchronous generator and the permanently excited synchronous generator. In the laboratory it is analyzed at test benches how these generators behave at the grid. The results allow statements on the behavior of the wind turbine at a real and an ideal grid.
