After a brief presentation of his doctoral thesis, David Dreistadt went into the oral examination on the contents of his dissertation and beyond. He successfully passed both parts. David Dreistadt submitted his thesis as an external doctoral student at <abbr title=\"Helmut Schmidt Universit\u00e4t\">HSU<\/abbr>. He carried out his work at the Helmholtz Centre Hereon. Currently, he is working on the further development of his system simulation and is already supervising other doctoral theses in this field at the Helmholtz Centre Hereon. Furthermore, he will continue to support the Chair of Applied Materials Engineering in teaching and other areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\"
