In seiner Dissertation hatte er \u201eAn adaptive,\u00a0context-sensitive,\u00a0workflowsupport\u00a0system\u00a0for\u00a0process\u00a0and\u00a0automation\u00a0engineering\u00a0of\u00a0production\u00a0plants\u201d erforscht und entwickelt, nachdem er vorher umfangreich Engineering-Workflows in Unternehmen von Nordamerika \u00fcber Europa und Indien bis China analysiert hatte.
