Media Practices in Turkish Audiences of the BBC WS: Credibility, Transnational Communication and Diasporic News Production

Drawing on narrative interviews this research aims at analysing the various modi operandi of tuning in the BBC World Service Turkish radio. These modi operandi are interpreted within the frame of the everyday practices of the people under research.

The research project is part of the program "Tuning In: Diasporic Contact Zones at BBC World Service" (principal investigator: Prof. Dr Marie Gillespie, Open University). It is financed by the AHRC Diasporas, Migration and Identities Research Programme.
